It’s Here! Watch Aaron’s Story & Help Us Spread SMS Awareness!

We are excited to share Aaron’s story with you. In the PBS series "Medical Stories," SMSRF board member Jennifer Sauer and her husband Brian open up about the challenges and complexities of raising their son with Smith-Magenis Syndrome (SMS). Given how rare SMS is, this opportunity to spread awareness to a larger audience is incredibly impactful. In the most beautiful, loving, and articulate way, they express how hard this syndrome is not only on their son but on their entire family. 

As Jen commented, “It is truly an honor to have been selected by PBS to share our story and journey so far with SMS. We hope to continue spreading awareness about this rare community and bring more funding for research and treatment options that will improve the lives of our loved ones!”
